cbd tampons, life advice & my fav super bowl ads

Welcome back to another round of chaos babes. Good lord this year’s been a doozy. I started 2024 mega relaxed after our trip to Thailand & Vietnam, only to be hit (no pun intended) by a concussion, stomach flu, and the return of my period after a 7-year-iud-hiatus (did you know they make tampons infused with CBD?!), all in the span of a few weeks.
We 👏 love 👏 womanhood.
Now that I mention it, consider this your official reminder to put on your big girl pants, block out that cal, and book all those appointments I just know you’ve been putting off! Your body will thank you for it.

On the pod, I taught you how to balance your life & set boundaries like a badass and sat down with two certified memologists (yes, this is a thing) to get the skinny on gen-z, their consumption habits online, and why brands need to get on board before it’s too late.
Tough conversation with your boss? Struggling to manage work & life? Something else? Drop me a line, I answer your questions every week on the podcast and right here in the newsletter!

aka things no one asked me about, but you’re getting anyway.
If you didn’t know, the Super Bowl LVIII happened. The Chiefs beat out the 49ers 25-22, conservatives freaked and said that it was rigged, and even Biden decided to poke the bear.
And while I can honestly say I did not watch one second of the game (sorry not sorry), I did watch all 59 ads AND dropped my favs below for your viewing pleasure.
At the end of the day, tech brands took the crown. No contest. Not that it was much of a competition, considering how many tried to stay relevant but ended up giving off some serious cheugy energy (and not in a cute, ironic way). If I have to see one more ad with a talking baby, I might just lose it.
Let’s get into it…
Michael Cera founded Cerave? Ah, Cerave. Wow. Thank you for this gem. What started as a joke on social, transformed into an ad that’s guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on their target audience. And to top it off, it was magnificently paired with a social media campaign. You can tell their team is DEEP in internet culture.
Hello down there. The biggest flex for a SB ad is getting Martin Scorsese to direct it. Like a mini blockbuster.
Less social media, more Snapchat. I was obsessed with this ad. Not only because of the message but because they used REAL people. These weren’t cute highlight reels, but a grandma trying out a Snapchat filter, a 5-year-old playing in the yard, and a teen at her first concert. These are the kind of ads we want people!
Well played, Disney. If you can’t tell, I’m a sucker for nostalgia (aren’t we all?). And who knew that such a simple ad with our generation's favorite words could say so much?
for funsies
I caught up with an old coworker last week and she unknowingly dropped the biggest damn golden nugget of advice that I absolutely had to share. It’s so great, I’m not even going to muddy the water by adding anything else here ✌️

And that’s a wrap! If you don’t already follow me across social: what are you waiting for?? See you in two weeks!
