- You need to f*ck up more.
You need to f*ck up more.
HOW you fail will determine your success.

I’m the first to admit that failure used to scare the sh*t out of me. And I used to do everything I could to avoid it.
I thought that if I pissed off even one person - I’d failed. I even stopped pitching ideas in meetings and delayed quitting my job because I was worried it might upset the people around me.
I was striving for perfection above all else, only to realize that seeking perfection is a surefire way to stunt growth.
F*cking up is vital to your success.
Is it easy? No.
Necessary? Absolutely.

this was me 🫠
The way I see it, the fear of failure exists for 3 reasons:
You fundamentally don’t believe you are good enough.
You think that success is limited to achieving every single goal you set out to achieve.
You gaslight yourself into thinking the stakes are too high.
There’s so much to be learned from every single mistake you make.
Don’t believe me? Here’s a little list for you:
In 2019, I uprooted my life to move to London only to get divorced 6 months later → I met the LOML at the company I joined shortly after moving.
In 2020, I burnt out trying to get the promised promotion that never came → I reevaluated my priorities, set a new plan in motion and created my life on my own terms.
In 2022, quit my cushy 9-5 and found I hated being an entrepreneur → I realized my self-confidence wasn’t strong enough. I spent a year learning about resilience, imposter syndrome, and confidence-building tactics to rebuild my foundations.
Without these “failures”, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
(As if my high school bullies who follow me on LinkedIn are laughing about all the mistakes I’ve made)
Everyone is too focused on their own perceived “f*ck ups” to give a second thought to yours.
If you are tired of hiding in the shadows, afraid of failing - this week’s episode is for you. Together, we'll challenge the conventional narrative surrounding failure & explore how f*cking up is a key part of success.
